1. Who this policy covers

This policy describes the Selma Area Food Bank website, the contact options it provides, and the external services it links to. Selma Area Food Bank, Inc. can be reached at 101 Avenue C, Selma, AL 36701, (334) 872-4111, or info@selmafoodbank.com.

Government benefit applications, partner pantry intake, and other organizations’ websites have their own notices and practices. Please review those notices before providing information.

2. Information you choose to provide

You may choose to contact the food bank with your name, email address, phone number, group information, or a question. Once you send an email or contact the office, that information may be used to respond, arrange participation, follow up on your request, and maintain related records.

The volunteer and drive inquiry tool prepares a draft on your device. Selecting “Prepare my email” does not send a message to the food bank or store the draft in a website database. You decide whether to copy the draft or open it in your email app and send it. Your email service handles the message when you send it.

Please do not put Social Security numbers, complete payment-card details, medical records, or benefits documents into the general inquiry tool or an ordinary email. Ask the relevant program or provider for its appropriate submission method.

3. Donations and donor communications

Online donation buttons lead to the food bank’s Bloomerang-hosted giving form. The donation service collects the information you enter there and processes your gift under the notices displayed on that service. This website does not collect payment-card numbers.

Gift and contact information provided through giving services may be available to the food bank for processing and acknowledging donations, responding to donor questions, and maintaining donation records. Ask donor support about the handling of a particular gift or any recognition preference.

For receipt questions, a request to update or stop recurring giving, or communication preferences, contact jennifer@selmafoodbank.com or call (334) 872-4111. A message about a change is a request for staff assistance; check with the food bank if you need confirmation that it has been completed.

4. Email updates

The Stay Connected page loads the food bank’s existing Bloomerang email-signup form when you choose to open it. Bloomerang handles the details you submit, validation, and signup confirmation. Loading the form connects your browser to the provider and its supporting services. Use the provider’s notices and the unsubscribe options in email messages to manage your subscription.

5. Technical information, cookies, and embedded services

Hosting, access-control, and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time to deliver and protect the site. Essential cookies or similar technology may be used by those services.

This website does not add advertising pixels or a separate marketing-analytics service. The volunteer calendar connects to Google on pages where it is displayed. The partner map connects to Google if you open it. If you choose to search for partner agencies by entering an address, that address is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau for matching. Device-location searches are processed on your device. The email-signup form connects to Bloomerang after you choose to open it. Phone and email alternatives are available without loading these services.

Your browser settings may let you control cookies and local browsing data. Blocking necessary cookies may affect third-party features or access controls.

6. Links and independent services

Bloomerang giving, newsletter signup, Google Maps, Google Calendar, YouTube, Facebook, government benefit portals, and other linked sites operate under their own privacy policies. News videos connect to YouTube when you choose to play one. Their services may collect information when you visit or use them. A link does not mean that this website controls their collection, security, or retention practices.

7. Your choices and requests

You may use the site without making a donation or sending an inquiry. To ask about information you have provided to the food bank, request a correction, discuss a communication preference, or raise a privacy concern, contact the office. If an email newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, you may use that link as well.

Requests to remove information are subject to applicable recordkeeping duties and the need to retain donation, accounting, program, or dispute records. This policy does not set a blanket deletion deadline or replace any rights available under applicable law.

8. Younger visitors

General inquiry forms should be completed by an adult. Parents, guardians, teachers, or group leaders can contact the food bank about younger volunteers and applicable participation requirements. Please avoid submitting unnecessary information about a child.

9. Updates and contact

When website features or data practices change, this policy should be updated to describe them. The date at the top identifies the most recent website-policy revision. For privacy questions, email info@selmafoodbank.com or write to the office address above.
